Observation of flat-band localization and topological edge states induced by effective strong interactions in electrical circuit networks

Flat-band topologies and localizations in noninteracting systems are extensively studied different quantum classical-wave systems. Recently, the exploration on novel physics of flat-band interacting has aroused great interest. In particular, it is theoretically shown that strong interaction could drive formation nontrivial topological flat bands; even dispersive trivial bands dominate single-particle counterparts. However, experimental observation those interesting phenomena still lacking. Here, we experimentally simulate interaction-induced edge states electrical circuit networks. We directly map eigenstates two correlated bosons one-dimensional Aharonov-Bohm cages to modes two-dimensional lattices. this case, by tuning effective strength through circuits' groundings, two-boson detected measuring frequency-dependent impedance responses voltage dynamics time domain. Our finding suggests a flexible platform topology, may possess potential applications designing electronic devices.
